quality of philosopher

Socrates ,the great philosopher,tried hard to contol hmself and was resolved never to make a show of his temper. .he believed that an angry man was more beast then hu man beings.He had a wife who used to lose the temper on the slightest excuse and tried her utmost to irritate the cool,calm phiolosopher.Oneday the woman became more furious than ever and began to insult the philosopher.Socrates determined not to put out and to leave her alone .went away and sat on the doorstep of his house .the wife ,finding that socrates was not payng attentionthe least heed to her loud and angry scolding,went upto him and emptied a pot full of water over him.the passers by in the strret were much ammused at the incident and socrates joined then in there laughter and quickly remarked,"i was e xpectinhg this:after the thunder .comes rain".

LOL I resonate with this, it seems when we are most determined to be peace, that is when we are most sorely tested, smiles
